		<description>There are two kinds of Kitchenaid attachments for pasta.  For extruded pastas (think macaroni), there are plates that attached to the food grinder.  For making pasta sheets and cut pastas, there are different attachments.

The one shown above is the food grinder plus plates.  I think I would have used the other kind of attachment for making a long flat pasta.</description>

		<description>The photo looks like a grinder. My kitchenaid pasta attachment looks much different. 3 attachments -- one makes sheets about 4 inches wide, the other 2 - one is fettucine, other is spaghetti. I got them as a set from Amazon for about $120. Love it.</description>
