Thanks for sharing this recipe. I visited Bermuda a couple of years ago and had a great time. I have the cake in the oven right now – making for xmas – and it smells wonderful! I brought home a lot of Black Seal Rum, but no cakes so I’m glad I found your recipe!

Jen: It’s not a typo. 2 cups of sugar total (1 cup granulated; 1 cup brown sugar). Sorry about that! Hope you like the cake.

There is a cup of brown sugar in the list of cake ingredients, but it is not listed in the instructions. I’m making the cake right now, and will add the sugar. Hopefully it’s not a typo…

Looks like you had a really nice time! I have to say that I’ve never really sampled many liquored up cakes as an adult. I didn’t care for them as a kid (of course) so I think it’s time to give them another shot!
