made these today and they were delicious! my dad is a pancake guru… we grew up with mickey mouse shaped pancakes every sunday morning.

So he was very bothered that there was no baking soda or milk in it. So we did 2 batches… one your way and one his way (using milk and krusteaz baking mix). Hands down your recipe won! These were so fragrant and yummy. thank you!

Sounds delicious and I’m looking for something different to make today for breakfast (btw, we live in Madison and have the same appreciation of summer as you do!).

However, I don’t see milk as a wet ingredient. You don’t use it?

Oh, breakfast/brunch in Chicago- my favorite! Don’t forget Orange, with their pancake flights, or Wishbone, for biscuits and gravy, or M. Henry, which I’ve never been to, because I don’t have the patience to wait an hour for breakfast. (Not on an empty stumoch!)
I just found your blog, and love it. Always love reading another Chicagoen’s take on the food scene.

These were pretty delicious. My only complaint was that I wanted more! In the future I’ll double it and maybe make up some flavored creme fraiche. I enjoy your blog – thanks for sharing!
